Hello!

I'm Haritha and I'm currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. Originally from Chennai (South India), I enjoy exploring museums and learning through observing the world around. Academically, I focus on Historiography and International Relations, but I do love to write about obscure topics ranging from South Indian cinema to Oscar Wilde's poetry. I hope to use this platform to broaden my scope on this. Apart from this, I teach and continue to build upon my skills in Bharatnatyam - a classical dance form from Tamilnadu, where I grew up. I also practice Carnatic music and that complements my broader interest in artistic expression and exploration. My other interests include learning new languages - I hope to learn one from each major school. For instance, my mother-tongue is Tamil, from the Dravidian linguistic group and I learnt Hindi (belonging to the Sanskrit-Devanagiri script). I'm currently learning Arabic in the Nastaliq script and hope to continue!
